Get the Mono Look

Monochrome has always been a trend on the catwalk and in some senses other home interiors but now its the turn of the bathroom to benefit.

Black accents can create a modern edge to a tiled bathroom.  Using a different style, white tiles on the wall to the floor prevents the room looking stark and lets the accessories in black stand out.

We often want to follow a trend but when investing in a significant project can be concerned the look may become out-dated quickly.  With monochrome this is less of a concern as it is a look that is timeless and a great choice for a bathroom project. 

Black and white are opposites but as the saying goes opposites attract as do these. Black absorbs while white reflects. When you put them together they create a stunning design scheme with real impact.

You can easily create the look through accessorising with black brassware which you can get in matt black or gloss and brushed black chrome and basins can have an accent of colour added through taps.

The scheme is also a versatile combination as you can choose from stripes, patterns or use colour in blocks.  There is also the opportunity to create geometric patterns, stripes or chevrons when going for tiling.
